THE EXPERIENCE  

Walking through the centre of Noto, one has the perception that the architectural monuments are living history, man-made works of art and significant evidence of history. After the destructive power of the earthquake, Noto fell and was rebuilt, because there is always the possibility of a new beginning.  

ITINERARY  

1st STOP: Gathering and departure 

A walking tour through myth, history and traditions to discover the origins of the ancient city of Noto. The gathering is 15 minutes prior to departure at the meeting point you have selected. 

2nd STOP: Porta Reale (Royal Gate) 

The Porta Reale, the city's main entrance, welcomes you to magnificent Noto. Walking along Corso Vittorio Emanuele is the only access for strolling among magnificent buildings and beautiful façades, such as the Church of Santa Chiara and Palazzo Ducezio, where the town council is currently based.   

3rd STOP: Cathedral 

The majestic San Nicolò Cathedral, preceded by a wide three-flight staircase, dominates the entire old town with its grandeur. During the hours of sunset, its golden colour emphasizes the brightness of the limestone that characterises the Noto area.   

4th STOP: Tasting 

A the end of the visit, there will be a tasting of some of the best delicacies made by local producers following the Sicilian gastronomic tradition, while admiring Noto from a wonderful panoramic terrace.
