THE EXPERIENCE  

Etna, a Muntagna, is a generous yet severe mother that regenerates with its destructive power: the mountain gives and the mountain takes. Etna stands majestically in the magnificent setting of Taormina, 'the pearl of Sicily', which has made the island known to the whole world. 

ITINERARY  

Tappa 1: Gathering and departure  

A close encounter with the magnificent Mount Etna. The gathering is 15 minutes prior to departure at the meeting point you have selected.   

Tappa 2: Stroll on the Etna 

Accompanied by a guide, the journey to discover Etna begins: the highest active volcano in Europe where, according to myth, the giant Enceladus is imprisoned, the cause of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.  Arriving at Rifugio Sapienza at an altitude of 1,900 metres, you can explore the volcano in complete autonomy to discover the craters and enjoy the surrounding landscape. 

Tappa 3: Taormina 

After lunch we set off for Taormina, a wonderful town built on a cliff, now one of the most popular tourist centres in eastern Sicily. 

Tappa 4: Tasting 

To end the day with taste, during your free time, you can enjoy the arancino, symbol par excellence of the Sicilian culinary tradition.
